Single Source Contract Regulations - Penalties

Where the contractor does not comply with the regulations and/or does not respond satisfactorily to a Compliance Notice issued by the UK MoD the UK MoD may choose to issue a penalty to the contractor.

The Defence Reform Act and the Single Source Contract Regulations identify the potential civil penalties to which the defaulting contractor may be subject.

The contractor may appeal the penalty notice to the Single Source Regulations Office (SSRO) who act as arbitrator for the civil penalty regime.
